[Top Ten Tuesday] Adult SFF Books

Hey there guys, gals, and enby pals! Bringing to you today a list that I’ve been looking forward to for a long time!

For those who don’t know, Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly theme created The Broke and The Bookish in 2010 and moved to The Artsy Reader Girl in 2018. This Tuesday’s theme is your top ten books in your favorite genre, and I decided to take the opportunity to rep my absolute most favorite genre ever: SFF. Particularly, I decided to talk about adult SFF, since this is a subset of fiction that I think is woefully underrated. (Not to mention, a ton of the titles in this list are often miscategorized as YA—both because lofty-minded chauvinistic assholes look down on YA and on the female authors that write SFF. I said what I said.)

So let’s get to it!

[Top Ten Tuesday] Characters That Remind Me of Myself

Hallelu, comrades!

Hey. Didja see my booktube yet? 😏 (If you haven’t, find me over here and subscribe!)

While I’m absolutely and totally enamored with my new YouTube channel, those who don’t exactly enjoy videos needn’t worry – this space is still my panganay (a Tagalog word meaning ‘eldest child’) and I will love and cherish it forever! While I do have some new content planned for YouTube, I also have a lot in store for the blog. So never fear that the OG will fall by the wayside! I am now, as Shealea and Zia have said, a multi-platform blogging kween.

Anyhoo, welcome to this week’s Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly theme created The Broke and The Bookish in 2010 and moved to The Artsy Reader Girl in 2018. This week’s topic is actually one that I’m pretty excited to write about: top ten characters that remind me of myself!

So, with advance apologies for the significant amount of self-aggrandizing in this post, let’s get started!

[Top Ten Tuesday] Favorite Couples in Books

Morning, comrades! Welcome to my third installment of Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly theme created The Broke and The Bookish in 2010 and moved to The Artsy Reader Girl in 2018.

For today, I’ll be talking about my top favorite couples in books in preparation for February 14, Valentine’s Day! And because I am super extra, I also included an aesthetic for each couple!

(I’ll also be posting a list of my favorite romance books on Valentine’s Day itself, so keep an eye out for it!)

The couples I picked out for this list are all explicitly canon couples. I wondered if I should include some of my fave ships, but then I figured if I started including non-canon couples, this list would go on forever and ever and ever. (Holla at me, Drarry fans!)

Check out my favorite bookish couples below!

[Top Ten Tuesday] New-to-Me Authors I Read in 2018

Hey hey hey, guys, gals, and nonbinary pals! I’m back with my second installment of Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly theme created The Broke and The Bookish in 2010 and moved to The Artsy Reader Girl in 2018.

For today, the theme is New-to-Me Authors I Read in 2018. Considering that I only started blogging and really keeping track of my reading last year (not to mention reading diversely), pretty much all the authors I read last year were new to me. 😂

Nevertheless, I picked out ten really stand-out authors I discovered in 2018 to share with you all! Please note though that I only decided to include authors who debuted prior to 2018, so that this list would still fit the bare minimum of “New-to-Me” theme!

Let’s get started!

[Top Ten Tuesday] Most Anticipated Releases for January, February, and March 2019

Evening, my good comrades! As part of my 2019 goals to be more organized with my posting schedule, I’ve decided to participate in Top Ten Tuesday! As you all probably know by now, Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly theme created by The Broke and The Bookish in 2010 and moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in 2018.

For today, the topic was Most Anticipated Releases for the First Half of 2019. But because there’s just way too many books I’m looking forward to coming out this year, I’ve decided to divide this post into quarters. So today, I’ll be talking about my Most Anticipated Releases for January, February, and March.
