[Book Review] Spellhacker by M.K. England // science, fantasy, and anti-capitalism

It’s pretty common knowledge that I positively adoredĀ The Disasters, M.K. England’s debut novel. (Read my review here, or watch my Best of 2019: Backlist Edition video here.) So when M.K. approached me wondering if I’d do a small book tour to promote the international pre-order campaign, I jumped at the chance!

I already found myself into the idea of Spellhacker – mixing fantasy elements like magic with sci-fi technology is a thing that will never, ever get old – but then I found out that this book also had elements of anti-capitalism? Sign me up.

[Book Review] Fireborne by Rosaria Munda // Plato’s Republic as a fantasy book

Hey everyone! Can we all get a big hell yeah for my first book review of 2020?

This book was actually a leftover from 2019. I’d started reading it – like a massive idiot – the last week of December, when I knew I’d be busy with New Year’s Eve preparations. As a result, I entered 2020 with an unfinished book. šŸ˜…

Still, I’m thankful I did, because it ended up also being my firstĀ five-star of the year! Now read on to find out what I enjoyed so much about this book.

Most Anticipated Releases: January, February, and March 2020

Hello friends! It’s that time of the year again when people’s most anticipated releases come up. I love writing these posts (mostly because I can’t wait to buy these books like the trash bookish gremlin I am, lol) but often have difficulty because there’s just too many books in one year that I want to read and would need an intensely long-ass post. But at the same time, I felt like writing a most anticipated release post every month was just too much effort.

I solved that problem last year by deciding to write a most anticipated post every quarter. I fell by the wayside last year (what else is new?) but I’m reviving my quarterly most anticipated series once more, and I’m so excited to get to read these books this year!

Read on to find out what I’m eager to check out for January, February, and March 2020!

2020 Blogging Goals + Looking Back at 2019’s Goals

Happy New Year, friends! I’m so happy to welcome not just another year, but an entire ass decade! I hope everyone’s year is off to a kind and gentle start, and may the rest of everyone’s 2020 bring them peace or joy.

One of my absolute favourite things to do when a new year rolls around is come up with my blogging goals, as well as looking back on the goals I set the previous year. I really enjoy looking at how far I’ve made it and where I still need to do some growing!

Read on to find out how I did in 2019 and what I want to achieve in 2020!
